Each month we produce a Newsletter, which informs our members of dates and instructors for Rallies, any changes to HRCAV rules, Club news and general information. Most members receive their newsletter via email where possible.

      Rallies & Bookings
Berwick Riding Club hold its rallies at the Northern end of Akoonah Park, Berwick, (enter off Cardinia Street) on the second Sunday of the month except January. Rallies usually consist of a either a 45 - 60 minute flatwork, poles or jumping lesson. For flat lessons, we have a meximum of three riders perr group. Our rally co-ordinator/s endeavour to have the groups consist of riders of the same level. Instructors vary from month to month. Jumping lessons and Clinics are organised during the year and members are notified via the Newsletter or email.  Click HERE for more info on rallies.

To book for a lesson we ask our members to telephone, sms or e-mail our Rally Co-ordinator/s the Sunday before the rally to book your lesson and you will receive your lesson time/s by the same method that you booked on the Thursday. Rally details are included in the monthly Newsletter. The cost per flat lesson is $25. The cost per jump lesson is usually $20 - Payment is made on the day of the Rally preferably by cash or cheque. Correct money is required if paying by cash as no money is kept on the Riding Club grounds.

The full lesson fee charge will be applied if you book in for a lesson and then do not participate on the day. If you cannot attend a booked lesson, please advise the Rally co-ordinator within 24 hours of the rally as their may be a wait list of members wanting to ride, or attempt to contact othere member's to fill your spot. Medical certificate/s or Veterinary certificate/s may be excepted.

       Berwick RC Performance Card

You will have received a Berwick RC Performance Card (separate from your HRCAV Official Performance Cards). At the Club's December Rally we also hold a Presentation, these cards are used for by the Club to recognise any achievements you may have had over the past year. The idea of the Performance Card is that you take it along with you to any official or unofficial event (doesn't have to be a HRCAV event) you may enter and should you place, ask the Event Secretary to complete the card, most are more than happy to do so. Prior to the Presentations we will ask members for their Performance Card for the collation of awards.

Lunch

During the cooler months, coffee, tea & biscuits are provided by the club for members. The lunch roster over the warmer months consists of 3 members on duty. When lunch is being provided by the club at a rally, please advise when booking for your monthly rally whether you will be staying for lunch for catering purposes.

Manure

All members are required to pick up after their horses and place it in the manure pit. There are 2 manure scoopers and a wheelbarrow available for use, which are located inside the Clubroom.

Clubroom

Please help us by leaving the clubroom the same way we found it and assist in the cleaning up after the rallies such as washing and drying all dishes, picking up and removing all rubbish, cleaning the toilets and sweeping the floor. If everyone helps it only takes a minute or two.
